Bobby Joe Forgety

Bobby Joe Forgety, age 76, resident of Talbott, TN went to his home with the Heavenly Father, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was born on December 14, 1936 in Jefferson City, TN to Richard and Ola (Hickey) Forgety. Bobby graduated from Jefferson City High School and Carson Newman College. He served in the U. S. Army and retired after over 30 years of service with the TN Department of Human Services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, TN. In addition to being a devoted father and grandfather, Bobby?s special interests and hobbies included playing the guitar and singing for family, watching college and pro football games and caring for his yard. He is survived by daughters Laura Forgety Bailiff, Jessica Forgety and son Jeremy Forgety, 7 grandchildren, Aaron Bailiff, Tyler Church, Joe and Abby Stough, Ashlynn, Myrah and Braden Forgety. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Joseph Aaron Forgety. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home.
