HICKS, age 70, of Kodak, TN passed away Tuesday morning, February 20, 2007 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church and was retired from the Knoxville News Sentinel. Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Anna Mae Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Hicks; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kathy Hicks; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and David Carr; grandchildren, Lori Beth Hicks, Alex Ellison and Dustin Perkins; and many special cousins and special friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, February 22, 2007 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Travis Bowden officiating. Eulogy will be given by David Oxendine. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, February 23, 2007 to proceed to Mitchell Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Reverend Travis Bowden and David Carr officiating.
