Blanche Talley Reese

Blanche Talley Reese, of White Pine, TN passed away Monday evening, Jan. 5, 2004 at her home. She was born in Greene Co, TN and was the daughter of the late William D. and Minnie Rush Talley. Preceded in death by husband, Paul Reese; sisters, Alice, Mary Ruth, and Kathleen Talley and brother, Dr. Byron S. Talley. Mrs. Blanche believed in family and education and loved children, which was shown by her long tenure of teaching in Jefferson and Hamblen Co. in which she truly enjoyed. She was a faithful member of the White Pine First United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Carson Newman College. Survived by daughter and son in law, Minnie Ruth and J. C. Douthat of White Pine; son and daughter in law, William and Carolyn Reese of Hendersonville, NC; step grandchildren, Steven Moore and wife Tara of Fr. Collins, CO, Jina Gettys and husband (William) of Lexington, SC. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan 7, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of White Pine with Rev. Eddie Noe and Fred Lehrer oficiating. Interment graveside services Thursday, 11 a.m. at Jarnigan Cemetery, Morristown. In lieu of flowers, he family suggest that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 146, White Pine, TN 37890.
