Blair McMurtery,age 81 of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Mascot and Powell, passed away Monday afternoon, January 6, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by son, Daniel Blair; parents, Roy and Bertie McMurtery; brothers, Gene and Robert McMurtery. Survived by sister, Marie McMurtery of Mascot; wife of 55 years, Pantha (Pat) Padgett mcMertery; daughters and sons in law, Deborahand Donald Wise of Rogersville, Trudy and Joh Black of Florida, Melissa and Tony Gaut of Dandridge; sons and daughters in law, Martin and Marlene McMurtery of Maryville, Scott and Carolyn McMurtery of Dandridge; grandchildren, Robyn McMurtery, Trudy McMurtery, David Wise, Kristi Black, John Black, Jr., laura Dale and James Clevernger, Caryn Borders, Joshua mcMurtery, Michaela McMurtery, Cammie and Rockie Wolfenbarger, Stephanie and Carl David Lawson; great grandchildren, Dylan mcMurtery, Alexis Mannier, Austin Clevenger, Bandi Nix, Kimberly Nix, Andrew Buell and Jordan Buell. The funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 at 1 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Dandridge with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment will follow at Roseberry Cemetery in Mascot.
