Blaine Rogers Atchley

BLAINE R. ATCHLEY, age 85, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with Jesus on June 29, 2023. He attended First Baptist Church Jefferson City for 50+ years, where he has served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, New Market Masonic Lodge, and was employed by Bellsouth/ATT for 44 years. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and carpenter work. Preceded in death by his parents, Curtis B. Atchley and Alma Ada Wells Atchley; brothers, Curtis B. Atchley, Jr., Robert Raymond Atchley, Edward Noah Atchley, Jack Lee Atchley; son-in-law, Harold Edward Flinchum. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol Atchley; children, Debra J. Flinchum, Tracy E. Howard (Kenny), arold edHHaMichael J. Atchley (Katie Bean); grandchildren, Tiffany Simon, Chris Hustad, Maggie, Emma and Ethan Atchley, Tyler Christmas, Mary Hefner; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Peyton and Hunter Simon, Emery and Eli Hustad, Anslee Thompson, Lelia Hefner. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Rosser officiating. Graveside interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolent Fund of First Baptist Church Jefferson City, or to The Knoxville Heart Association.
