BILLY R. SPOONE, age 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2021. He was a loving husband and father. He was devoted to his family and his home church, Deep Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He took great pride in his work as an electrician and always strived to do his best with any job. No matter the job, he always did his best to be of good service to the Lord and shared his faith with everyone he met.
Billy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances Spoone; son, AJ Spoone, whom he was very proud of; sister, Janice (Jerry) Slagle; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many other family members and friends that he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his precious mother, Doris Spoone; grandparents, Jake and Rozella Miller and so many family members and friends that he missed so much. We can only imagine what a celebration it was for him when he saw them waiting to welcome him to his final home. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Deep Springs Baptist Church in Dandridge, TN with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Danny Matthews, Rev. Chad Chambers and Rev. Brock Webster officiating. The interment will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11:00am at F. M. Johnson Cemetery/Deep Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include his son, AJ Spoone, J. Ray Walker, David Hubbard, John French, David Cate and Jerry Slagle. Honorary pallbearers include Wayne McKinney, Tom King and Ralph Elder.
