Billy Payne Miller

Billy Payne Miller, age 79, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. He was a loving husband of 58 years to Janice (Brooks) Miller. Bill was the son of the late Hugh and Dixie (Gaddis) Miller and was a lifelong resident of the Sandy Ridge community. He was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and served in the Air National Guard for 6 years. Bill retired from Tennessee Truck Lines and worked at Dollywood in retirement. Two of his favorite pastimes were fishing and just being “Papaw.” In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Christi Miller, Dandridge; daughter and son-in-law, LeAnn and Chris Hilemon, Knoxville; grandchildren Alexandra Miller, Daniel Hilemon, Brooke Hilemon, and Hannah Cline; sisters-in-law Jimmye Blair (David) and Patti Bonhage; and special cousin Robert Gaddis. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. John Wilson officiating. Interment will be 11:00am Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Hills Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Chestnut Hill UMC Building Fund, 2416 Chestnut Hill Church Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
