Billy Wayne McCoig, age 87 of White Pine, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 25, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Billy was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church and a retired welder from Shoffner Mechanical Services in Knoxville. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Carolyn Myers McCoig, parents, Charles and Rose McCoig, brothers, Fred and Joe McCoig, sister, Bobbie Hair and all their spouses. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Keith Johnson, grandsons, Wayne (Melinda) Johnson and Matthew (Meah) Johnson, great-grandchildren, Ava Rose Johnson and Noah Robert Johnson, along with one niece and two nephews, several friends and other family members. The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations be made to Leadvale Baptist Church for the Sound and Video Equipment, 874 Leadvale Church Rd, White Pine, TN 37890. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 7:00pm in the sanctuary of Leadvale Baptist Church with the Rev. Brandon Cate and Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating, family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service at the church. Graveside Interment service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 11:00am in White Pine Cemetery.
