Bill Phillips

BILL PHILLIPS, age 88, of White Pine, TN, born May 15, 1922 in Shelmount, TN, died on July 29, 2010. He was raised in the Point Pleasant Community of Cocke County. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Leadvale Lodge #390 F & AM, whereachieved his 32nd Degree, and he was a member of the Shriners. He retired from Operting Engineers # 917, Chattanooga, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave A. and Martha "Lou" Fowler Phillips; spouses, Bessie Keith Solomon and Rose Brady Salmons Phillips; brothers, Dan, Lee, Will and Joe Phillips; sisters, Emma Fox Luster, Mary "Jimmie" Huff, Julia Wall Murphy, Dot McCoig and son-in-law, Henry Bart Gibson. He is survived by his son, William B. (Donna) Phillips of Palos Heights, IL; daughters, Paula (Scotti) Shelton of Morristown and Patsy Gibson of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Leadvale Lodge # 390 F & AM officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8;00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in White Pine Cemetery.
