Bill Burton

Bill Burton, age 73, of Rutledge, TN passed from this life into the glorious presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on September 20, 2012 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Bill is remembered not for the Alzheimer?s disease that stole his memory, but for the wonderful husband, father and grandfather that loved his family passionately. He was youngest of four children being, preceded in death by his parents, Rafe and Stella Burton of Harlan, KY; and brother and sisters, Rafe, Jr.; Georgia and Eula Collier. He is survived by the love of his life of 42 years, Judith, whom he never forgot. Together they have William (Maria) and Ray (Wendy); three grandchildren, Hannah Grace, Colton Wade and Isabella Karis. He also had three children from a previous marriage, Debbie; Billy (Mary) and Carl (Paula), as well as nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a very special niece, Karen Mason of Lakeland, FL. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with Rev. William Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
