Bill Arnold Beckner

BILL ARNOLD BECKNER, age 88, of New Market, TN and formerly of Morristown, TN passed away February 1, 2021 at The Waters of Johnson City. Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army, Artillery Division, during the Korean War. He was a letter carrier at the Morristown Post Office ,and retired after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Draymond and Marie Beckner; brothers, Reid and Dennis Beckner; and son, Rick Beckner. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Beckner; son, David Beckner; grandchildren, Wesley of Rutledge, Ashley of Morristown, Taylor of Morristown, Ryan of San Diego, CA, Aimee of Rutledge and Ashley of Asheville, NC; step-daughter, Susan (Bob) Carr of Saranac Lake, NY; step-son, Lee Carr of Powell; step-daughter. Sherry (Don) Wagner of Harriman; several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Military graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Christus, on Edgemoor Road in Claxton, TN. Mr. Beckner will lie in state 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.
