BEULAH SCOTT PATTERSON, of Dandridge, Tn started her heavenly journey home, surrounded by family and the loving caring family she developed at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home, on Saturday afternoon, August 9, 2003. Beulah accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and was a life long member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Fred Patterson, Sr. on August 3, 1988; seven siblings and son in law, Charles Leroy Shannon. She is survived by her children, Louise Murray and husband Fred, Linda Shannon, fred Patterson Jr. and wife Maria, and special grandson whom she raised, Fred Patterson III; grandchildren, Alan, Richard, Steven Hammer, Greg Manis and Michelle Patterson; great grandchildren, Allison, Laura and Ashley Hammer,Michael and Racheal Manis, Sara and Daniel Patterson; sister, Dorothy Arnett of Keokee, VA; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be led by her family and assisted by Rev. Dan Moore, rev. Rose Mincey and Rev. Tom Sinclair at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Chestnut Grove United Methodist church and a reception to follow for family and friends at the home of Linda Shannon, 274 Battlefield Drive. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home for the journey to Balch Cemetery, where scriptures, prayers and brief remembrances will be shared. Following this service, family and friends are invited for a celebration of her eternal life at the home of her daughter and son in law, louise and Fred Murray, 1800 Doc Terry road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Chestnut Grove Cemetery Fune, 1126 Hill Street, Dandridge, TN 37725. The family will receive friends at the homes of Linda and Louise from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. prior to services at the church.
