Betty J. Pierce

Betty J. Pierce age 77 of Jefferson City, passed away 9:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center following a brief illness. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a Member of Grainger County Ridge Runners Car Club. She is preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Marjorie Nelson. Survived by her loving husband of 36 years: Cecil Pierce. Son and Daughter-in-law: Donnie and Pauline Hankins of Grainger Co., Special friend: Lois Shelton. Several other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Mills officiating. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
