Betty Jane Major Overton

BETTY JANE MAJOR OVERTON, age 79 of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday morning, June 8, 2004 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and was a long time court reporter fro Jefferson and surrounding counties. Preceded in death by husband, Albert L. Overton, Jr. Survivied by daughter, Connie Overton; sons, Robert H. Overton of Knoxville and James A. Overton of Seymour; grandchildren, Valerie Overton, Bradley Overton, Chris Wells and wife Anna, Leslie Adams and husband Kenny; great grandchildren, Kendra and Kelsie Adams, Abby and Josie Wells. Funeral services 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside services 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Cemetery.
