She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Winniford Lowery. Survived by son, David Lyle of Knoxville; daughter, Barbara Underwood of Knoxville; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Rue (E Buck) Lowery of Jefferson City; sisters, Ruby Purkey of Jefferson City and Mary Lou Swann of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Walter Miller and Reverend Carl Elliott officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 12:00 noon Friday, December 3, 2004 to proceed to Westview Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening prior to the funeral service.
