Betty Lou King

BETTY LOU KING, age 86, passed away in her sleep at home in Knoxville, TN on July 8, 2014. Mrs. King was born in Knoxville, TN and lived most of her adult life in Morristown, TN before returning to Knoxville in 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles N. King Jr., her son Charles E. King, both U.S. military veterans, and four siblings. Mrs. King valued family first. She was always delighted to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She hosted them for week long summer visits at her home in Morristown and even very late in life took great joy in looking after her great grandson Silas. Mrs. King is survived by her daughter Becky Clayton, her sister Nadine, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren (with another on the way). “She was the matriarch of our family and she will be deeply missed.” wrote her family.
