Betty Joyce Johnson

Betty Joyce Johnson, age 71, of Talbott, Born October 19, 1947, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Tennova North Medical Center of Knoxville, TN, after a long battle with cancer. She was retired from Cumberland County Board Division of Social Service, where she was employed for 34 years. Preceded in death by her husbands, Sammy Brooks; and David Johnson; parents, Willie and Nelle Evans; brother, Johnny Evans; Sisters Ruby Shumate and Brother in law Frank Shumate. She is survived by sons, Brian (Misty) Johnson, Jason (Niki) Johnson; sisters, Helen J. Evans of Talbott, TN, Della C. Eckel of Rutledge, TN, Ann Dean of Seaford, Delaware and Mildred Watson of Talbott, TN; Brother, Charlie Evans of Athens, TN. 12 Grand Children and 1 Great Grandchild; several nieces, and nephews Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. The graveside will follow in Jefferson Memorial. A visitation will be held 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
