BETTY JEAN COX, age 83, of Jefferson City, TN went home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2013.She was a faithful member of Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Magnavox. Preceded in death by husbands, Charles Gregg and Clyde Cox; sons, Larry Charles Gregg and Michael Lynn Gregg; mother and father, Carl Woods and Rosa Woods Haag; sister, Kathleen Nolen Dotson; brothers, Clifford, James, Ray and George Woods; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Norton and Pastor Gary Norton; grandchildren, Kristy and Jim Maxwell, Leslie and Ben Hull; great-grandchildren, Garrett Maxwell and Kaylyn Maxwell, Eli Hull and Jonah Hull; step-son, Steven Cox; sister, Hattie Smith; brother, Carl Woods, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, and many friends and church family. The family wishes to thank those at Jefferson County Nursing Home for the care and support Betty received. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Norton, Pastor Ben Hull and Pastor Dennis Caldwell officiating. Receiving of friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. Pallbearers will be the men of Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
