Betty Williams Gantte

BETTY WILLIAMS GANTTE, age 71, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday morning, May 8, 2011 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Sam Gray and Mamel Geneva Hance Williams. She was the owner and operator of Dandridge Classic Flowers and will be fondly remembered for her many kind deeds and unselfish giving to others. Preceded in death by her brother, Carl Sanford Williams. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gantte; son, George (Robin) Gantte; grandchildren, Weston and Allison Gantte, all of Dandridge; sisters, Shirley Brogdon and Wanda Cannon, both of Morristown, Mary (J.C.) Huntsinger of White Pine; brother, Sammy (Mary Esther) Williams of Newport; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011, 7:30 p.. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Rev. Ron Wine and Rev. Jerry Colbert officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery for the interment graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Kingswood School, Memorial Gifts, PO Box 5000, Bean Station, TN 37708.
