Betty Cate Ballard

BETTY CATE BALLARD, age 77, of White Pine, TN passed away Thursday morning, January 7, 2016 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Evaudna (Mason) Cate, and was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Cate. Betty was a member of the Lawson’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was a former employee of Food City with 23 years of service. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Jefferson Chapter # 41, Order of the Eastern Star of White Pine. Betty is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alfred Ballard; daughter, Samantha (Joe) Kenley; sisters, Celeste (Condon) Batson, Wanda (Jim) Smith, Joann (James) Morgan; brothers, Carroll (Marilyn) Cate, Charlie ( Libbie) Cate; sister-in-law, Dorothy Cate; special love granddaughter, Kaitlynn Puckett; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Saturday, January 9, 2016, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, White Pine with Rev. Denny Ford officiating. Interment to follow at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, WHITE PINE
