Bertie Lucille Sane

Bertie Lucille Sane, age 76, of Dandridge, TN, passed away at her sister’s home, Flora Butterworth, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Guy Sane; mother, Hattie Gregg Sane; brothers, Athan Sane, L.V. Sane, and Alton Sane; sisters, Vala Mae Sane, Mary Belle Daniels, Margarett Sue Sane; brothers-in-law, Earl Butterworth, Jr., Emmitt Colbern Turner; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Sane, Ida Sane, Mona Sane Shaffner. Lucy is survived by her niece, who was like her daughter, Almeda Sane; sisters, Flora Butterworth of Dandridge and Sylvia Turner of Keavy, KY; brothers, Lloyd Sane, Mack Sane, Ed (Becky) Sane, all of Parrottsville, Lonnie Sane and Willis Sane of Greeneville. Lucy is also survived by her fur babies, Bitsi Bay, Lady GaGa and Chancy. Lucy had five very special nieces and nephews that meant the world to her, Cole Ray Johnson, Mia Beth Daniels, Emily Solomon, Jacob Solomon and Gabriel Solomon. Lucy also had a special niece Cecile (James) Solomon, who also helped take care of her.  Lucy is also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Johnny Sane of Parrottsville and sisters-in-law, Dale Sane of Bybee and Magalene Sane of Parrottsville, also several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Alice Davis and family, Chrissy (Gene) Grubb, Judy Lowe and family, Mr. & Mrs. Neal Hicks, Mr. & Mrs. Donnie Hicks, Karen Satterlee and family, Frank and Kathy Adderhold, Eugene and Aileen Lyle and Dean and Teresa Solomon. A special thank you to Smokey Mountain Hospice of Morristown for all their special care of Lucy. A very special thank you to Charlie Grooms, Sherman, Falecia, Emily and a very special thank you to Chaplin Evelyn McNamara. You all will always have a special place in our hearts. At Lucy’s request, she was cremated and there will be no service at this time, but there will be a memorial service at a later date.
