Berniece Ballinger

BERNIECE BALLINGER, age 90, of Dandridge, TN, a faithful mother and beloved friend to many, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Ms. Berniece left others with a quick wit and always a word of encouragement. Ms. Berniece was a loyal member of First Baptist Church of Dandridge and Volunteer Sunday School Class. She will be missed by many. She knew no strangers. Ms. Berniece was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Myrtle Beeler; daughter, Janell Cate; and also an unnamed infant son. Ms. Berniece is survived by son, Dan Ballinger (Anita) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Glenn Ballinger of Dandridge; daughter, Denise Jarnagin (Tony) of Morristown, TN; sister, Pearlie Mae Howard of New Market, TN, Gladys Coy of Jefferson City, TN; also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of close friends. The ripple effect of her life will be felt for years to come. Special thanks to Jefferson County Nursing Home and their caring staff, St. Mary?s Hospital of Jefferson City, and other special caregivers too numerous to mention here. Receiving of family and friends will be Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dandridge. The funeral service will follow with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Graveside interment service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
