BENEDICT ?BEN? BUERGLER, age 83, of Talbott, TN peacefully died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at home. Ben was the son of Martin and Frances Buergler of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Abbott Luke and Father Boniface of Corpus Christi, Texas. Ben is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth ?Betty? Buergler; son, Benjamin; daughter-in-law, Wendy; granddaughter, Charlotte Rose; brother, Bede and wife Mary Ann of Chicago, Illinois; and sister, Sr. Mary Magdalene of Rock Island, Illinois. Ben leaves behind numerous relatives in Arkansas, Clara Hylle, Margaret Boeckman, Albert and Barbara Hess, Gilbert and Margie Hess, Paul and Joan Hess, Ray Hess, Bobby and Carol Hess, and their children and grandchildren. In Indiana, he leaves behind Ron and Dot Dettlinger and their children and grandchildren, In Tennessee, he leaves behind Ruth Wilson, Ginger Wilson, Billy and Amy Murphy, Jeff and Laura Trent, Lexi Wilson, and Dino and Erika Angelos and their children. Ben served as a Benedictine priest in Arkansas and Texas for twenty years. After moving to Tennessee he worked at the U. S. Department of H.U.D. for an additional twenty years. In retirement he enjoyed working at Appalachian Outreach and loved sports, especially golf and the Lady Vols. The receiving of friends will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jefferson City, TN on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. Ben will be inurned in a columbarium at Holy Trinity. A dinner reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the services. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 475 North Highway 92, P. O.
