Ben (Bernard) Palmer Glennen

Ben (Bernard) Palmer Glennen, age 85, of Dandridge, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. He was born August 4, 1917 in Roseau, Minn. Ben attended the Jefferson City Christian Church and was retired from General Mills of Bernon, Calif. He was a member of the Dandridge Lions Club and served many years on the Dandridge Water Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erik and Severina Inderlie Glennen; sisters, Myrtly Lynn and Ann Esserud; and brothers, Knute Glennen and Alvin Glennen. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laurine Glennen; daughter, Beverlky Cagle of Dandridge and Linda Jamentz and husband, Tom, of Burbank, Calif; son, Steven Glennen and wife, Sandy, of Dandridge; grandchildren, Carrie Mae Fox and husband, Jerry of Chestnut Hill and Steven Daniel Glennen of Dandridge; and sisters, Rose Teschke of California, Esther Johnson of California, Berget Schultz of St. Paul, Minn., Lena Sandstrom of St. Paul, Minn, and Josie Danielson of Roseau, Minn. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Emmert officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
