Barbara O'Dell

BARBARA O’DELL, age 90, born December 21, 1924, passed away November 12, 2015 at the Courtyards Gardens in Knoxville. She was a devoted Christian and in her earlier years, loved to attend her church, Kodak United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Barbara loved her family, her community of Kodak, her friends and relatives. You could always find her sewing, baking or piecing quilts. She was preceded in death by husband, Ray O’Dell; son, Johnny O’Dell; parents, Jim and Jane Carmichael; sister, June Hicks; and brother, Kenneth Carmichael. Left to celebrate her life are her daughter, Patsy Wyatt and devoted son-in-law, Glen; granddaughters, Janell Northern and Jordyn O’Dell; grandsons, Garrett Howard, Jesse, Jared and James O’Dell; great-granddaughters, Trinity Howard, Tenley and Nataley Northern; sisters, Wanda Carmichael and Vivian Hodge; several nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Jeanne O’Dell Fox; sisters-in-law, Freda O’Dell Hodges and Cathy Carmichael. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Brad Hyde officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Kodak United Methodist Church.
