She was a devoted Christian and co-founder of Talbott Christian Assembly, where she was a charter member and had played the piano for twenty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helene Mathis of Russellville and Fred Mathis of Jefferson City; sister, Faye Bates of Russellville. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul Lamb; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary Jayne Lamb, David and Terri Lamb, all of Talbott; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jared and Acoya Lamb of White Pine; grandson, Marc Lamb of Talbott; granddaughter, Nicole of Talbott; sisters, Shelba Smyth of Whitesburg and Freda Wells of Camden, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 15, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Bernard Watkins offering the eulogy, followed by interment in the mausoleum at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909, or to the Gideons, P.O. Box 1245, Dandridge, TN 37725.
