She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a retired employee of Rittenhouse Corporation with 26 years service. Preceded in death by parents, Sherman and Bertha Adkins; brothers, Dennis Floyd and Glad Adkins; sister, Bertie Mae Phillips. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Sherman and Randi Jones of Kingston, Washington; daughter, Angela Jones of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; granddaughter, Jessica Erin Perez of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Paul David Adkins of Jefferson City, TN, Dwain Todd Adkins of Norwood, Ohio, and Phillip Ray Adkins of Huntsville, TN; sisters, Florence Woodward of Huntsville, TN, Iva Lee Fraley of Cincinnati, OH, Wilma Lucille Martin of Amelia, OH, and Joan Ealy of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Okie Slone of Talbott, TN and Alonzo Jones of Huntsville, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Cross officiating. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
