She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by husband, Johnny Glen Gilland; daughter, Norma Jean Cummings; son, Scott Henry McKenzie. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betty J. and Jeff Williams of Talbott, TN, Barbara J. and Stanley Perkins of LaFollette, TN, Brenda Suttles of Knoxville, Frances and Rev. Richard Harrell of Franklin, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe B. Carr of Morristown, TN, Randy E. and Linda McKenzie of Decatur, TN, Fred and Pat Bender of Oliver Springs, TN; step-children, Dennis and Glenda Gilland; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, James Geames and Ralph Geames, both of Knoxville, and David Adams of Jacksonville, FL. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Ted Phillips officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery in Clinton, TN for 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
