Lucille Gilbert Hanks, age 78 of Jefferson City, TN passed away 3:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was a member of Jefferson City Assembly of God. She retired from Jeff-Co Drugs with 10 years of service. Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Tiney Gilbert; brothers, Gene Gilbert, Buster Elrod and Gale Elrod; step-son, Ricky Hanks. She is survived by loving husband of 44 years, Gene Hanks; daughter, Donna Eslinger Sellers of Tampa, FL; son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Sellers of Jefferson City; step-son and wife, Johnny and Glenda Hanks of Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Linda Hanks; grandchildren, Steve Eslinger, Greg Sellers, Julie Ausmus, Benjamin Hanks, Jeanetta Hanks, Andrea Sellers Jones, Erick Hanks and Jordan Hanks; great grandchildren, Justin Childress, Dylan Ausmus, Elxie Newcomb, Gage Newcomb and Bailey Hanks; brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Reenie Gilbert of Monroe, MI; several nieces and nephews; special friend and cousin, Christine Harris of Whitesburg, TN. Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Al Berry and Reverend Jack Elam officiating. Family and friends will gather 9:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral services.
