Audrey Richards Vick

Audrey Elizabeth (Richards) Vick died August 23, 2019. She was born April 4, 1934 in London, England. Her family moved to Broadstairs, Kent, the last year of WWII. Audrey won a scholarship to Clarendon House Girls School. After leaving school, she met James Vick, who was a military policeman in the US Air Force. They were married July 19, 1952 in St Peters church in Kent, England and moved to White Pine in 1955. They joined Westminster Presbyterian Church where Audrey played the piano for Sunday school and taught adult and children’s Sunday school classes. Audrey served as a White Pine City Councilwoman and worked as the public librarian for 22 years. Audrey is preceded in death by her husband James, her sister Joan Crayford and her parents George and Lily Richards. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Larry) Mefford, sons Richard Vick and Robert (Stephanie) Vick, grandchildren Daniel (Delaney) Vick, Dara Vick (Stephan) Reed, Tori Vick Brewer, Andrew Vick, Emily Vick, Nathan Trower, Leah Trower, Laura Mefford Edmonson, and Jennifer Mefford. In laws, Charlotte (Donald) Dockery, Tommie (Judean) Vick, Mary Ruth (Kenneth) Dean, and Barbara (Dale) Fox, along with several nieces and nephews in the US and England. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 4-7:00pm at First United Methodist Church, White Pine with Memorial Service to follow at 7:00pm. Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 11:00am in White Pine Cemetery.
