Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: AUDIE LAFAYETTE POORE, age 87, beloved husband and father, of Rutledge, Tennessee passed away on Friday morning, January 21, 2005 after a brief illness. He was born on January 20, 1918, one of nine children born to Frank and Virginia (Lynch) Poore in New Tazewell, Tennessee. He attended elementary school in Middlesboro, KY and later moved to Benham, KY, where he finished high school. He worked in the coal mine there for a couple of years, then moved to Monroe, Michigan where he worked at Consolidated Paper Company for 40 years. He and his wife retired and came back to Rutledge, Tennessee for the last 19 years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Golf and travel were also favorite pastimes. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben, George, Fred, Haskell, Denver and sister, Lorene. Survived by wife of 67 years, Teaves ?Tommie? (Newsom) Poore; three children, daughter, Jerrie McLaughlin and her husband, John of California, son, Frank Poore and his wife, Terrie of Michigan, daughter, Donna Griffiths and her husband, John of Hawkins County, formerly of Delaware; grandchildren, Chad, Cory, Rorke, Michael, Victor, Heather, John, Deanna, Danielle; sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Ina Baldwin and her husband, Carson of Oak Ridge, TN; brother, Isaac Arlis Poore and his wife, Dorene of Morristown, TN, sisters-in-law, Laura Poore and Shirley Poore. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Father Dan Whitman officiating.
