ARTIE MAE MESSER, age 86, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at her home. Preceded in death by husband, Russell Messer; parents, James Lawson Woody and Nancy Naillon Woody; brothers, John, Creed and Hugh Woody; half brothers, Amon, Wilson, A.L., Thomas Dewey and J. C. Survived by daughter, Wilma Jean Ledford; sister, Corrine Hall; half brothers, Crawford and Robert Lee; half sisters, Ollie Bell, Trisha, Lottie and Barbara Dean; grandchildren, Tracy Rush and husband, Bill, Paula Packard and husband David, and Kelley Ledford; great grandchildren, Jessica and Nicholas Rush and Wyatt Packard. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. John Thompson officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Hillcrest Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. graveside interment service.
