Arthur T. Darby

ARTHUR T. DARBY, age 78 of Jefferson City, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 28, 2003. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Leroy and Fannie Mae Darby and sister, Betty Hawkins. He is survived by his wife, Joy Darby; daughters, Alma Duke, Barbara Monroe, Lisa Roderick and Loretta Smith; sons, Dennis Darby, Jay Darby and James Darby; brothers, Sam Darby and Doyle Darby; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Carpenter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the funeral home to proceed to the Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service with military honors by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
