ROBESON, age 96, of Talbott, TN passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center. She attended Talbott Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Ed Robeson; parents, Ed and Eva Carmichael; brother, Phagan Carmichael; sisters, Ileen Layton, Mary Vestal; step-daughters, Pauline Rugel and Vivian Calhoon. She is survived by daughter, June (Paul) Smith of Mohawk, TN; sons, R. E. (Patsy) Robeson of Morristown, TN, Gale (Laura) Robeson of Talbott, TN; step-daughter, Carrie Lou Cox of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Steve Smith, Paula Chandler of Mohawk, Alice Rasnic of Morristown, Michael Robeson, Beverly Brooks of Morristown, Susan Musick of Rogersville, Ellen Moffat of Knoxville; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Morie of Virginia and Ethel Little of Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 in the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Jerry Utsman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at 10:15 a.m. on Friday at Sunderland Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Talbott Baptist Church , 507 Talbott-Kansas Road, Talbott, TN 37877, or to Talbott Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7410 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Talbott, TN 37877.
