ANNA SHACKELFORD WATSON, age 83, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away November 5, 2008. Anna was a long-time, faithful member of Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist Church where she served on the benevolence committee and the church activities committee. She also served as Librarian, Sunday School teacher, Young Womans Missionary Union leader, was past president of the Womans Missionary Union and a member of Stormer Womens Missionary Union Circle; and also a former Pink Lady at St. Mary?s Hospital in Knoxville. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Watson; parents, Alfred Lee and Eddie Mae Moree Shackelford; sister, Mildred Miller; brothers, Paul and B. M. Shackelford. She is survived by her daughter, Donna McCaleb of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Barbara Watson of Strawberry Plains, Mike and Marilyn Watson of New Market; grandchildren, Stacey Langendonk and husband, Mark of Sattelite Beach, FL, Rhonda Stallings and husband, Kevin, of New Market, Brannon McCaleb of Nashville, TN, Amberly LeCoultre and husband, Trent of Cumming, GA, Michael Watson and wife, April of New Market, Kyla Sheppard and husband, Johnny of Corryton, TN; great-grandchildren, Tyler Langendonk, Ansley and Maggie LeCoultre, Kara Stallings, Bella Grace Watson and Cameron Sheppard; brothers, Sam Shackelford of Strawberry Plains and sister, Lorene Hodge of Strawberry Plains; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Ruby Watson of Merritt Island, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jim Cogdill; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, November 7, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home with Dr. John Pinkston, Reverend Mike Lee and Reverend Sam Grindstaff officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary?s Jefferson Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care for Anna.
