She was the oldest member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hicks, who passed away in June, 2005. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sherry Hicks of Kodak, TN; grandchildren, Steve (Kathy) Hicks of Powell, TN and Tracy (David) Carr of Kodak, TN; great grandchildren, Lori Hicks, Alex Ellison, and Dustin Perkins; special nieces, Barbara, Sherry and Holly; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2006 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Travis Bowden, Reverend James McCann and Reverend Danny Lamb officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Mitchell Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
