Anna Louise Blanton, age 83 of Jefferson City, TN passed away Wednesday morning, January 29, 2003 at JeffersonCity Health and Rehab. Mrs. Blanton was a native of Mosheim, TN and resided in Jefferson City prior to becoming a resident of Kingsport, where she had lived for the past 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsport. Ms. Blanton was a registred nurse, last working at Eastman and retiring with 39 years service. She was a veteran of World War Ii, having served in the Army Nurses Corp. She was a member of several nurses organizations and the Garden Study Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. and Mary Jane (Molly) Blanton; four sisters, Bertha Mae Patton, Esther Blanton, Eula Cate and Mary D. Blanton; five brothers, Jay Blanton, Clarence Blanton, Glen Blanton, Lacy Blanton and Ray Blanton; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the caregivers and friends at Jefferson City health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. J. Seal officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Red Cross Organization, 6921 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37909.
