Ann C. Geis

ANN C. GEIS, age 88 of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Rochester, Michigan, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical center in Knoxville. She was born January 30, 1918 in Grand Rapids, MI and was a graduate of Rochester High School. She was co-owner with her husband, goerge, of the dry cleaning business in Rochester for many years before their retirement to Dandridge, TN in 1979. Ann was a full time homemaker and had a love for music and enjoyed teaching piano from her home for many years. A devoted member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and she was a member of the choir for most of the last 25 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Minnie Dunlop; brothers, Clyde, Jr., George and Leon Dunlop. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Geis; brother, Gerald Dunlop; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Dunlop and Mary Dunlop; several nieces and nephews. The burial being in Michigan, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Dandridge First United Methodist Church Choir Fund, PO Box 8, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Larry DeVault and Rev. Ron Matthews officiating. The body will be taken to Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University dr., Rochester, MI for other services and burial in Mount Avon Cemetery. The family will receive friends locally Tuesday evening form 5 until 7 p. prior to the service on Tuesday.
