AMY JACKSON KENT, age 38, of Bean Station, TN and formerly of Jefferson County, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at home. She attended Buffalo Grove Baptist Church. On her chalk board, she left this note for her girls: “Faith = Believing without tangible proof. Knowing without seeing. Ultimate form of trust. My faith in God and Jesus unwavering.”
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irene Jackson of Dandridge, Eleanor Harbula of Sylmar, CA, Rhosetta Kent of Morristown. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Shaun Kent; daughters, Cassidy and Kelsey Kent, all of Bean Station; father, Dean (Peggy) Jackson of Dandridge; grandfather, Dick Jackson of Dandridge; brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Jessica Kent of Bean Station; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Debbie Kent of Mooresburg; nieces, Sarah and Lynnsey Kent of Bean Station, Hailey Mullane of Dandridge; several uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. John Pinkston officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
