Alva Lue Henderlight Banks

Alva Lue (Henderlight) Banks age 88 of Knoxville died Saturday morning June 10, 2017 following a long illness. She loved to serve others by cooking and crocheting; cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; and greatly enjoyed traveling with her siblings and other relatives and friends. She was a member of Marbledale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dora Eubanks Henderlight; husband Grady Banks; and sisters Lucille Griffith and Maggie Guilliams. She is survived by sons Eddie (Wanda) and Bill (Jan) Banks; daughter Debbie (Ronnie) French; grandchildren Keith (Katy) Huffaker, Brandon (Heather) Banks, Brent (Mindy) French and Gretta (Red) Vance; great grandchildren Anne Elizabeth and Ella Kate Huffaker, Ellis and Lizzie and Lilah Banks, Jake and Izzy French, Reagan Blevins, and Rhett Vance; brothers Dan and Jimmy Henderlight; and sisters Betty Smith and Anita Mayes. The family would like to thank her long-time care provider Sonnie “Sophie” Weaver. Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 4pm at Asbury Cemetery.
