Alma Lucille Smith Harkleroad

Alma Lucille Smith Harkleroad, age 93, a devoted wife and mother passed away at Jefferson County Nursing Home on Monday, February 22, 2016. Alma was of the Methodist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred N. and Nora Glenn Smith; husband, James L. (Sonner) Harkleraoad; brothers, F.W and Wesley Smith; sisters, Mary (Toots) Mellon, Elizabeth Smith and Ella Frazier; grandson, Charles Wesley (Chad) Harkleroad. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Creta Harkleroad; grandsons, Lucas (Kim) Harkleroad and Cory (Larissa) Harkleroad; great grandchildren, McKenzie, McKaleb, Dylan, Cally and Sonner Harkleroad, Taylor, Jordan and Brody Moore; great-great-grandchildren, Emma and Grayson Owens. The family would like to express a Special Thank You for the love and care given by the staff of Jefferson County Nursing Home and Amedysis Hospice. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Leadvale Baptist Church Building Fund, 845 Leadvale Church Road, White Pine, TN 37890. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 5-7:00pm in the Sanctuary of Leadvale Baptist Church. Funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Charles Robison officiating. Graveside interment service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, 11:00am at Pollard Cemetery in Kodak.
