She was known for compassionate care during her lifelong profession of nursing and involvement in community and church activities. She was bestowed with nursing honors throughout her career. She was a member First Baptist Church, Jefferson City where she served faithfully. Preceded in death by husband, Garland E. Bruce, parents; Luke and Eula Kate Martin. Survivors: Son: Daniel Bruce and wife Julia of Bristol, TN Daughter: Deborah Reynoldson and husband Neal of Soldotna, Alaska Granddaughter: Amy Sharp and husband Chris Grandsons: Lewis Deane, Luke and Matthew Bruce. Brothers: Luke Martin of Bristol, VA, Stanley Martin of Knoxville Sisters: Pauline Martin and Mary Kate Castle of Kingsport Extended family: Julie Rosser, Mr. and Mrs. Broc Rosser and Capt. Jacob and Angela Rosser and family Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Family will gather at 10:45 AM Monday at the cemetery for the graveside service. The family will receive friends 4:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the funeral home.
