Alfred E. Johnson

Alfred E. Johnson, age 77, of New Market, TN and formerly of North Carolina, passed away 9:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith. He was owner and operator of Johnson Clearing Company for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chalmers and Alza Johnson; a brother and two sisters. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Cleophas and Geraldine Johnson of New Market, TN; brother, Howard Johnson of Sherills Ford, NC; and a sister, Opal Whitson of Burnsville, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 22, 2014 from Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
