Alberta French Jones

ALBERTA FRENCH JONES, age 83 of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday afternoon, August 27, 2003 following a brief illness. She was a member of the Piedmont Baptist Church, where she taught the Ladies Sunday School Class for many years. She was very active in P.T.A. and had served as president of the Jefferson County P.T.A.. She retired as Circuit and Sessions Court Clerk for Jefferson County in 1982. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Spider" Jones; son, Kenny Jones; brother, Earl French and sister, Hope French. She leaves many loving family members, neighbors and friends. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Bertie Jean and Ronnie French of New Market, Becky and Harold Moore of Dandridge, Donna and Frank Batson of Morristown; sister, Violet Barbee and brother, Shirley French, both of Dandridge; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Agust 30, 2003 at the Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. James Kinser and Rev. Marshall Knight officiating. Interment to follow at Piedmont Cemetery. The family will be at Alberta's home place, 1470 Alberta Jones Road, Dandridge.
