She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Hodge and Lona Churchman; brothers, Frank, Jack and Jim Churchman; sisters, Grace Churchman, Dorothy Miller and Blanche Farrish. She is survived by husband, Tom Hillard; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Ken Murray of Talbott; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Debbie Whitehead of Morristown; grandson and wife, Eric and Kelly Crabtree of Talbott; great-grandson, Phaeden Crabtree; sister, Mary Jett of Morristown; step-sons, Steve, Freddie and Danny Hillard and their families; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Pastor Fred Killman and Pastor Dan Hillard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Westview Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
