Agnes Ruth Taylor

AGNES RUTH TAYLOR, age 90, of Jefferson City, TN and a long time resident of Jefferson County, died in Nashville, TN, Wednesday June 23, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Margaret Zirkle and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Taylor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City and will be fondly remembered for her joy of traveling and participation in various civic and social activities of the community. Agnes and her husband Joe operated the The Flower Shop in the old downtown Jefferson City for over 25 years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Paula Taylor of Franklin, TN; sister, Devota Mills of Farragut, TN; grandson, Joel Taylor (Marsha) of Sparta, TN; granddaughter, Kathleen Eastman (Charles) of Nashville; great-grandsons, Dawson and Davis Taylor; niece, Sandra Patrick (Jerry) of Farragut, TN. Funeral service will be held on Friday, 1:00 pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, Jefferson City with Rev. Doug Wilder officiating. Family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 until 1:00 pm prior to funeral service. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, (Keenagers Senior Group) 2011 Branner Ave., Jefferson City, TN 37760.
