Agnes Jones

AGNES JONES, age 91, of Jefferson City, TN went to her heavenly home on September 24, 2022. She was the last of eight children born to Oma and Lean Mae Newman. She had many wonderful qualities that influenced many lives over the years. She was a wonderful cook who loved her family and had a great sense of humor. She always had open arms for anyone and loved serving people and entertaining. She retired from AT&T after many years of service. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, loved the Lord, and her faith never faltered. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones; and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Geri Jones Shook and husband Ed; grandson, Brad Lawson and wife Leslie; granddaughter, Lindsey Lawson; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Zak, Ava, Emma and Addison; special sister-in-law, Betty Berney; several nieces and nephews, and special niece, Wilma Morgan. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Brewer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
