Agnes Cate

AGNES CATE, age 81, of the Dumplin Community passed away peacefully Thursday, December 22, 2005 at her home following an extended illness. She was a life long member of the Dumplin Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Burl Cate and daughter, Emily Blake. Survived by daughters, Berlyn Faye Cate, Mrs. Don (Dianne) Gass and Mrs. Stanley (Sandra) Massengill; son-in-law, Harold Blake, all of New Market; grandchildren, Adam, Kari, Michelle and Stephen; great grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Natasha, Patrick, Sarah and Victoria; sister, Reba Cate; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 26, 2005, 8:00 p.m. at Dumplin Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Cate officiating. Interment graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 at Cate Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the church prior to the funeral service.
